After a 15.000 blocks trip i can't hear my footsteps anymore

I downloaded the new update on my more or less 5 years old ps4 world. I wanted to explore some cherry grove biome and after i reached more or less 15.000 blocks length from my town i didn't hear my footsteps anymore, i could just hear me falling or jumping but no walking. How can i fix this?
