Minecraft Villagers Path Finding Problem

If there is a bed, when the villager tries to go to sleep, but the door is on the opposite wall of the wall the villager is nearest to, it will just walk up to the nearest wall and stay there. In fact you sometimes have to punch it to get it to the door.
