colors and textures changed dramatically when playing with new blocks

I was placing some quartz blocks when suddenly many of the blocks throughout my map freaked out and changed texture and color. I think I had actually removed a quartz block (the stripey column looking kind) from underneath a sandstone slab, but I've been unable to replicate it. They reset back to normal after I quit to title and reloaded the map, but I managed to get some pictures on a separate phone which I've included below. All of the blocks implemented in 0.6.0 were affected while most of the previous ones were left untouched. I don't know if this is normal or a random fluke but I thought you ought to know! Also, there are more pictures but things are being weird and not letting me upload properly.
