Placing Beacon Stops Nether Portal/ Crashes Game

When I Placed Beacons Without Monument Then Headed To The Nether The Game Would Crash Or Take Me Back To The Preloaded Generating Terrain Scheme Then Would Not Allow Me To Open The Map File Again
