Can't crouch underwater with select touch controls

When I updated to Minecraft 1.20.0 on my phone, I relised I can't crouch underwater with touch controls, I tested all touch controls options and it looks like the only controls that work are the classic touch controls. The button says I'm crouching, but I still receive damage by magma blocks. It's very weird becouse I can crouch normally on the surface. The video showcasing the inability to crouch underwater
