i cant unmute or unblocks friends

i cant unmute or unblock my friends on Minecraft. for some reason minecrfat  just muted my friend and i cant unmute them. i tried to block and unblock them but then suddenly i couldn't unblock, now there both muted and blocked.

Steps to reproduce:

1.click play

2.click on friends

3.click on Find Cross-Platform Friends

4. type in your friends username

5.click mute/block

6.exit

7.repeat steps 2-4

8. click unmute/unblock

9.exit

10.repeat steps 2-4

11. there still muted/blocked

Expected Results:

your friend should be unmuted/unblocked

I also tried to go on to privacy settings but the link just took me to the homepage on bing. i've also asked some of my other friends in real life and they said its happened to them to. i have also loked online and saw many other people with the same problem. please help.
