Can't drag-split items onto other stacks

Before the update I remembered being able to drag-split items onto other stacks. For example, if I drag-split a stack of raw copper into a crafting table I used to be able to put another stack on top of it so I wouldn't have to craft each stack into blocks individually. Now i cant do that. I don't know if it has anything to do with touch controls or not.
