Signs not dropping as items

When stacking signs on top of each other, and destroying the bottom one, only that drops as an item. The other signs just disappear.

Also, when a sign is placed on a wall, and the block it is on is destroyed, the sign doesn't drop. The same goes if the sign is on the ground and the ground block is destroyed.
