As soon as I start Minecraft and play, the screen stops working.

I can start Minecraft, but it stops working when I scroll through the settings screen or type in chat or other text. There is no sign of recovery and I have no choice but to quit Minecraft. This phenomenon often occurs when entering text.

For example, as soon as I press the "T" key on the keyboard to enter chat, the screen gets stuck. The background music is still playing while the screen is stuck.

Can this be fixed?
