minecraft:projectile component for add-on items does not work

The "minecraft:projectile" component that is usable in add-on items does not work.

Expected result: The "Snow Wand" item shoots a snowball projectile when used. It does not require or consume snowball items. Its durability degrades with each usage. After its use, it has a 0.2 second cooldown.

Actual result: The "Snow Wand" item does not shoot a snowball when used. The item's durability does not degrade after use. It has a 0.2 second cooldown.

Steps to reproduce: 

1. Install the linked add-on.
2. Create a new world with the Holiday Creator Features experiment, cheats, and the previously installed wands add-on enabled.
3. Type /give @s wands:snow_wand into the command bar. Since I did not provide a resource pack with the add-on, the wand will be invisible.
4. Use the Snow Wand.
