Fall through placed block when 'towering'

When I am 'towering' meaning jumping and placing a block below me. The block appears below me as normal but instead of being solid I fall into the block and slide to the side out of the block onto the ground. If i am surrounded by blocks such as down a deep hole I still fall into the placed block but then glitch back out on top of it. Frequency is 100% of the time. Happens to me and the other player in the private server.
