Blocks not breaking

About 2 updates ago, with no settings changes blocks stopped being able to be broken. I figured it was a bug and would be fixed in the next update. I have tried creating new words in both survival and creative. Uninstalling and reinstalling Minecraft. Starting it without imparting my worlds. Nothing works. I get the animation of the block breaking and sound and vibration from my phone. Not even snow breaks. I have changed my viewing distance to have no change. Now I can still place blocks just not break them at all.
