Not saving in multiplayer

When I load my survival world on ios6.0.1 and make the server visible, and I have someone join on a iPad 2 iOS 6.0.1. There inventory is not saved and they spawn back at the spawn. What they do to the world saves though, like trees and chests.
I have tried having us both sleep then they get off and this still happens.
