Smelting items/blocks gives the wrong output!

When smelting cobblestone and other things, the 'result' or output is completely random and is incorrect at times.
This is affected in both survival and creative mode, and is affected both in flat and infinite worlds.
The device used is a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
