Can't place blocks on containers when flying down

When I try place blocks on containers when I hold sneak and fly up button with new touch control scheme, it opens the container instead of placing the block.

 

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go into fly mode
2. Get a block
3. Press sneak and fly-up buttons at same time
4. Press place while holding those buttons.
