Unable to summon items

Steps to reproduce
1. Type in chat: /summon item ~ ~ ~
2. Notice no item being summoned
I expected it to summon a stone item just like on PC

I'm in the beta version, sorry if I selected the wrong one as it's somewhat confusing.
