Totem of undying does not save you from end crystal explosion in the exit portal during the ender dragon respawn

If you are standing in the exit portal when respawning the dragon and holding a totem, you will still die when the crystals explode. The totem will get used and the totem animation will glitch.
How to reproduce:
1. Go to the End
2. Kill the dragon
3. Hold a totem in your offhand
4. Go into survival mode
5. Respawn the dragon
6. Stand in the exit portal

Observed results:
The totem is used and you still die

Expected results:
The totem should be used and you should not die
