bug (urgent issue)

so, this is a world I made after the fact my previous one got reset, the same way as this one. I logged out one night, as I was done playing for the day, and signed back in the next morning to find everything reset, and I was back at square one with nothing more but a map. I was very confused, and pissed, but couldn't do anything else. I start a new world, just for it to do the exact same thing. why? am I doing something wrong? what is the issue? I have been forced to make copies of the world, just so I don't lose progress, but it does the exact same thing to the copies.
