Cannot Find/Play with Cross-Platform Friends

Ever since the new update, I have been trying to play with cross-platform friends and they aren't visible to me. I have tried to restart my device, reconnect to internet, log off and on... but still they don't appear. I had no issue until the new update releases. I play with my boyfriend weekly, and its frustrating that it all of a sudden stopped working. Please look into this!
