Taking damage while sneaking on chest bug

When sneaking on the very edge of a chest, I found that I randomly started taking damage. I tried breaking the chests and replacing them, but I still take damage. The only thing that stops this is placing a block in front of the chest I am sneaking on (like in the video, which is a bit short as I am the file size is limited). I found that, when I reopen the world and try to sneak on the edge of the chests, I don’t take damage again until I place a block in front of the chests and then break the block. I haven’t heard of this bug anywhere else.
