Mouse cursor not working properly on M2 iPad

Use of the cursor/mouse is not working properly when navigating menus after starting a world. It works initially when loading the app, then stops working after loading a world.

 

Mouse input works when in game initially to control the camera view. However, it stops working after opening the pause screen menu. The app has to be closed then re-opened to get a cursor to appear again.
