Cannot connect to world with friends on preview

After update cannot join friends on a server

  Yesterday we were able to do so but not today.  We are working on a family survivor world and cannot join.  Internet is working fine and rebooted xbox.  It says connection timed out and can't join server.  Both minecrafts are on the same version.
