Adding a new classic skin overrides existing ones.

I have Minecraft Pocket Edition installed on my iPhone SE (2nd Generation). I have a few skins I saved to my camera roll so I could use them, but when I add a new classic skin to my characters, all the old ones (classic skins) are overwritten.
