Cannot put different meat in furnace after cooking

When cooking, I cannot put a different type of meat in. For example, when I cooked some beef, I could not put in pork after the meat cooked. Instead, I had to exit out of the furnace and go back into it. This does not happen to me consistently enough to get a video recording, but it still is very inconvenient when it happens.
