Xbox - Equipping a cape makes the elytra disappear in game

When equipping a cape in the character creator and returning to the game, it sometimes makes the elytra disappear on the player model in third person. This happens about 50% of the time when playing.

 

To recreate

• Wear an elytra
• Change the character in the character creator and equip a cape 

 

Expected

• The elytra is still visible with the special texture

 

Observed

• No elytra renders
