Breaking animation continues if the player dies while in the middle of mining a block

When letting a mummy zombie attack and kill me at the end of the video, you will notice that the animation of breaking a block continues to load even though I cannot continue breaking the block.

Note: I removed my Gamertag for privacy reasons.
