Losing items such as: capes and things to custom your skins

I have been playing Minecraft for a long time now and never had issues until now. I have lost a cape (the gold one with the creeper face on it) and have lost a mouth selection. The day that I lost my mouth was weird my character had the "big grin or big smile" on it, and the mouth disappeared I look for it but no sign of it was there. These issues I have been having really suck since I had to change my character fully.
