Eye item "angry" disappeared from the character creator

I have been using for a few years now the eye item that I recall being named "angry" (image below), but it disappeared from the character creator.

I noticed the issue first on December 28, 2022. This issue in not tied to the Minecraft version, and I have launched the game in versions as early as 1.16.0 and the item disappeared there too (I originally created the skin around that version).

Additional information: the eyes were not removed from my skin but replaced by the "closed" ones. This made me wonder if it is not a design choice, but removing a used customizability option isn't a good choice so I'm pretty confident it's a bug.

 

Expected behavior:
The eye option is present

Actual behavior:
It is not present
