Totem of Undying effect lost after save and quit.

The effect of Totem of Undying is lost after saving and leaving the game.

I was in lava holding the Totem of Undying and after it's effect activated I left the game, still in lava. After rejoining the World without closing the game I died instantly because every effect from the Totem was lost.
