Mouse does not work in menus on iOS

I recently bought a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition with on my iPhone, since I just hate using an Xbox controller, or, even worse, touch controls, to play Minecraft. I AirPlay my iPhone to my Mac so it's just like playing on the actual computer (Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is not available on Mac and I don't have a Windows PC).

I noticed right on that when I entered the game, the mouse and keyboard work great to move around, look around, break blocks. But once you enter a menu, like your inventory or a chest or whatever, the mouse does not work. Or anywhere outside of the actual world itself, like settings menus and stuff.

This is insanely annoying, as I can move around and break blocks and attack with my keyboard and mouse, but every time I open a chest or my inventory or whatever, I have to switch to my 5" iPhone screen.
