Nether crashes game

i went into the nether through the portal at my base and my game froze on the loading screen. i closed the game and restarted, when i did, the game spawned me suffocating in the nether but at the coordinates my portal exists in the overworld. i traveled back to the portal linked to my base and got back but the game froze and crashed when i got into the overworld
