Cheats turning on on their own

When playing survival mode single player the game is fine but after being joined by a friend playing on windows or switch the games turns cheats on on its own so achievements cannot be earned. I'm not sure what to do to stop this or is there a way to disable cheats completely?. i cant attach the saved games as the're too big .Cheers
