Clocks in item frames and hand show multiple times and wrong time

When clocks are in your inventory they look ok but when held or placed in an item frame they show multiple clocks,,, depending on texture pack some show 4 and some show 16,,, also the clock displays the wrong time in the frame and hand according to the sun/moon position,,, the inventory clock seems to be the correct time.
