Creeper Explosion Duplicating Items!

A creeper blew up in the middle of my house on a new default survival world, in frustration I quit the game immediately, returning to the Xbox One dashboard in hopes to salvage my belongings on the game.

Instead of losing my belongings, the explosion had done NO damage at all to the surrounding blocks or chests, yet ALL of my items in the chests / on my person, had in fact MULTIPLIED by TWO.

This was an extremely disappointing discovery and I feel like it needs to be fixed immediately as it has made me feel no desire to continue mining (if this method of cheating is available). I further tested this again to see if it was a temporary glitch/coincidence with a chest of diamonds, quit the game , loading back in and to my frustration it happened again and they had DOUBLED.

The image/screenshot I have provided as an attachment shows the lack of damage, AFTER the creeper explosion and all of the items from the chests outside of them, as well as inside them, having MULTIPLIED.
