Minecraft Xbox menu bug

Okay this is a difficult one, my Minecraft is being a bit strange. I am on xbox, when I start Minecraft it works as expected until the point where I am prompted to select between play, settings, or marketplace. I can move around the menu freely and nothing is greyed out but when I try to push the A button nothing happens. I have tried to uninstall the game, reset the Xbox, reset it to factory settings, update my controller, change the batteries, and controller. I am also able to open any other game and play it freely without this problem. Is it possible to get back on Minecraft because I have a world I hold dearly to heart.
