"Unsupported File Format," while trying to Import my MCWorld, don't want to lose it- please help!

Hello my name is Ruan and my little brother has been playing Minecraft Education Edition for sometime now. I've already had Minecraft Bedrock on my pc for a while and he that he wanted to import his maps he did on Minecraft Education Edition and import into Bedrock. I attempted to import it but it would say "World Import Failed; Unsupported File Format." I've done some research and I seen a few others have the same problem with me. I really need help because I'm scared that I would lose it, and my brother to be sad. Please help! Thank you for your time.
