Redstone torch burn/turn off when placed on the side of a piston

If you place a redstone torch on the side of a piston it will blink a few times and go off then.
Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Put a piston somewhere
2 - Place a redstone torch on the piston side
3 - Done!
