Aiming reticle disapears during splitscreen play

When playing multiplayer splitscreen on xbox, the aiming reticle on screen disapears when 1 out of 3 players opens inventory, chests, or crafting. When 2 out of the 3 players have inventories open, the aiming reticle flickers but stays on screen. Happens on Xbox Series X and the issue still happens. Been like this for months.

Update: Year later and still having the same issue. It is difficult to play splitscreen with the family and this issue needs to be fixed as Minecraft hasn't been enjoyable since.
