Stronghold generation bug

For some reason, every village thats supposed to have a stronghold has a stronghold that spawms in incorrectly. Instead of a stronghold that spawns in underground as a massive structure, it spawns above ground replacing the well, and the "stronghold" only spawns as staircase instead of huge structure.
