Can see cakes through player model in inventory

I was playing Minecraft creative with a friend online, I looked down at some cakes, and I opened my inventory. I could see all of the cakes through my model in the menu! 

Unable to render embedded object: File (UPDATE) not found.

It turns out this works with any block
