Homescreen won't load

I just wanna play. I go in, ans on the homescreen, my skin won't load. If the skin doesn't load, I either show up as Steve of Alex in the realm. Then when my skin DOES load, the realm won't. It takes me a good hour of restarting the switch and restarting the game just to get it to work right. And even then,, I spend about 5 minutes in the realm and i lose connection on both my switch account and my Microsoft account..This just started happening after the last update.
