Llama is in grey/brown/black pixel when spawned in via wandering trader

I was playing my world (not brand-new, made August 3 2022) and I had a wandering trader spawn, with a llama in grey/brown/black pixels. Nothing changed when I reloaded the game/hit the llama. The llama did not spit when I hit it, even while off the lead. When on the lead, it flashed green/red. This world has no experimentals on, only cheats.
