Minecraft world disappeared

Yesterday I lost my Minecraft world. I logged onto Minecraft like any other time and I was signed out of my Xbox account so I signed in and pressed play and my Minecraft world I'd spent hours creating had disappeared. Also I noticed today my Addons I downloaded disappeared and my setting changed to the default settings. This isn't the first time a situation like this has happened to me before with hours and hours of time and dedication wasted because of this bug in the game. This bug desperately needs fixing and I feel there should be a recently deleted section where players can retrieve deleted and accidentally deleted worlds to hopefully avoid situations like this in the future.
