Items stuck on mouse cursor after shift+click crafting

Steps to Reproduce

1. Fill player inventory completely with items that can be broken down (e.g. bones, gold ingots)
2. Set gamemode to survival
3. Attempt to craft the broken down items (e.g. bone meal, gold nuggets) by repeatedly Shift+Clicking in the recipe book

Expected Behavior 

Expect the newly crafted items to fill available inventory slots (no available slots in this case) and any extra to be dropped on the ground.

 

Observed behavior

First crafting operation works as expected. Second stack of 63 newly crafted items gets stuck on the mouse cursor. Only happens if no inventory slots are available. Stuck items cannot be removed by clicking in any inventory slot or crafting grid slot. 

Relogging or using "/clear" gets the items unstuck.
