Nether has invisible portal and when you die and respawn into the overworld it wont load more than 4 chunks.

Started a new map today and put in about 4 hours before going into the Nether.  When my Nether spawn my portal was no where to be found and I was randomly underground under glowstone in a basalt delta.  When I spawned I was being burnt alive.  When I managed to put out the fires my Nether Portal was not visible so I commit suicide.  When I respawned I noticed my Overworld playable area would not load beyond 4 chunks.  So I quit to try and reload the map.  Keep in mind this whole time the game has been automatically saving.  I look at my worlds to load and my new map created today 8/9/2022 was nowhere to be found.  I checked system storage and it is there just not listed under my worlds.

 

What is going on?
