Extreme teleportation

I went through my nether portal in the nether and the game froze upon entering then got perpetually stuck on generating world. After restarting the game I was teleported 1000 of blocks away from my base. I started at -1077,66,809 where my base is at and ended up at -145,64,84 with no nether portal in sight
