Castaway Achievement is glitched

I spent three in game Minecraft days eating nothing but dried kelp, but the game just refuses to give me the Castaway Achievement even though I met all the requirements to get it! Mojang needs to fix their achievements or else I simply won't play the game anymore; especially now that chat reporting is a thing.
