My shulker boxes keep despawning

So basically i placed down my shulker box i went to pick it up but just randomly disappeared without me knowing. I was positive that i picked it up and my inventory was cleaned out so theres no way it was just on the ground. And this wasnt the only time this has happened either it happened to me about a week ago also. I dont have pictures of this.
