Cannot use shift or any modifier keys to modify text on iOS

After updating to 1.19.10, when using the magic keyboard attached to an iPad, whenever the shift key is pressed in a text field, focus is lost making it impossible to type a capital letter or symbol without using the on-screen keyboard. Also happens when pressing any modifier keys like command or option or control. Huge bug as it basically prevents all chat and command usage!
