Excessive Auto Saving and Lag

My world auto saves every 2-5 minutes, and it can lag the world for a minute at a time (unable to move, mimed blocks not disappearing, invisible chunks, invisible barriers when flying, other people’s worlds freezing, etc). If there is a way to either disable auto save, make it less excessive (something like 30-60 minutes would be more reasonable), or have it cause significantly less lag, I feel like it will fix a lot of these issues. I’ve been experiencing this bug for 3 years and it’s only gotten worse over time.
